Allison Pkwy. * Lakewood, CO  80226 ~~ Jazz vocalist Spider Saloff returns to Lakewood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 20 to present a musical tribute to legendary composer Irving Berlin featuring a collection of music from The Great American Songbook. The show includes many of the beloved Berlin classics, interwoven with stories about the composer’s music and controversial life, delivered with Ms. Saloff’s own special brand of humor. Ms. Saloff will be joined on stage by Jeremy Kahn, piano, and local favorites Rick Chiaraluce, winds, and Ron Bland, bass. Tickets are $22 for adults and are available by calling 303-987-7845, online at www.Lakewood.org or at the Lakewood Cultural Center Box Office, 470 S. Ms. Saloff has seven CDs released nationally, and her television and radio credits include The Bonnie Hunt Show (CBS), The Steve Baskerville Show (CBS), Centerstage (PBS), Artbeat (PBS),Words & Music (cstar and co-creator of this syndicated series, 57 episodes), a one-hour feature on the Noteworthy Womenseries (Public Radio), and Studs Terkel (WFMT).Ms. Saloff has recorded and performed with such jazz luminaries as Les Paul, Tom Harrell, Nick Brignola, Ray Drummond, Harry Allen, Mark Murphy and Dick Hyman. She has worked frequently with Larry Novak, Tony Monte, Steve LaSpina, Ken Peplowski and Bill Charlap ~~ Recently, Ms. Saloff was featured with the prestigious Chicago Jazz Orchestra in a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald.
